Practice on: PHP and MySQL
- This page allows user to filter, add, or delete a DVD entry from the table
- When the page is first loaded, php script will show the DVD table in a tabular format
- Filter is a text box, if it’s empty then show all the DVDs
- If filter has a value, it will be used as prefix to show all the DVDs that matches the prefix
This is the first look of the webpage. This is school work. The purpose of this lab is to help student learn how to use PHP to connect with MySQL. The algorithm of whole PHP structure was given by the teacher, it contains direction like “the 1st time load the page” and “2nd time when $_post[“something”] is set”.
Students need to make sure the front end is displaying the information spitted from DB and render to a table.
Everything was coded in one single file except the connection info to DB. This kind of code is really hard to maintain.

For someone who is obsessed with typography, there’s really no way to leave it like this. So I used BootStrap to decorate this simple web page.
